Meet The Lees

Hello friends and family!

We have quite a wide range of folks reading our newsletter. Some of you have known us for a long time, some of you are just getting to know us, and others are brand new friends.

We would like to reintroduce ourselves and give you an overall update on who we are and what each of us is about!

Meet The Lees!

Austin

Hiking at Colorado National Monument - April 2023

Austin was born in Tennessee, grew up in North Carolina and has made his home in Atlanta, GA since 2004. Austin works for BNY Mellon where he serves as a financial advisor to Ultra-High-Net-Worth families.

Austin also finds time to serve as a board member at Mars Hill University, The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Austin is passionate about the outdoors and even spent 40 nights in a tent on our roof top deck to celebrate his 40th birthday. When Austin isn’t hiking, climbing, rappelling, sitting around a fire, or camping; you can find him playing one of his many instruments or riding on the Peloton.

The only place you won’t find Austin is at the beach where as he sees it:

“All you do is sit around and sweat all day and then spend an hour washing the sand out of every crack and crevice on your body.”

Courtney

Colorado National Monument - April 2023

Courtney has lived in Georgia since she was in preschool, with the exception of four years spent at her beloved Auburn University in Alabama. Courtney works for StartUp Health where she supports their mission to help startup founders in the healthcare industry create revolutionary advanced in healthcare.

Courtney just finished an eight-year term as a board member at Nicholas House.

Courtney loves to travel and is an expert road trip planner who has planned over 25,000 miles of road trip fun and adventure in just the last 4 years. The only rival for her love of travel and exploration is her love for dogs of every shape and size.

Courtney is an avid thrifter and she doesn't plan a road trip without making a stop or two at a thrift shop. Her biggest find was a $600 skirt for $3 with the tags still firmly attached.

Willow

KOA Benton, IL - December 2021

Willow joined our family at just around 8 weeks old in 2021 and is named after the Willow Creek Trail in Lone Tree, CO. She answers to Willow, Willy, and Wills, but if you have food she won’t leave your side.

No one loves a long car ride more than Willow, especially if she can stick her face in the air vent. Willow has two modes: Play and Sleep. You can find Willow at the Fetch dog park just about everyday of the week chasing balls and getting pets from the workers.

Willow’s favorite place is wherever we are, but the dog park at Chatfield State Park in Littleton, CO is a very close second. Even when we can’t travel with Willow her fur manages to make its way into every nook and cranny of our luggage.

Baby Lee

Ultrasound Photo - February 2023

Baby Lee will be joining the family in June of 2023 and we can’t wait to meet him! We are keeping his name a secret until the big day. Willow can’t wait to be a big sister.

In true Lee Family style he has already been to the Atlanta Opera, a bluegrass concert, an art gallery opening, two surprise birthday parties on the same night, The Furniture Bank Gala, on flights to Las Vegas and Chicago, Apple Picking in the North Georgia Mountains, The Masters golf tournament, and road trips to Abington Family Thanksgiving, Asheville, and Grand Junction, CO.

We can’t wait to introduce him to you soon!

This little recap wouldn’t’ be complete without acknowledging the lives of these two amazing dogs.

Angie

Courtney adopted Angie when she was in college. Angie was the sweetest dog and lived up to her nickname, “Angel”, easily. She loved people more than anything. When we would go to the dog park she would just hang out with all the people under a bench and wait for belly rubs.

Angie crossed the Rainbow Bridge in March 2018.

Jake

Jake joined the family in February 2010 as a 5 month old puppy. Jakes favorite things in order: Naps, Road Trips, and Butter Wrappers. He was a gentle giant who didn’t like water or very many dogs, but loved people and would put himself to sleep at night.
